This section includes notes on how to make life in Colonial America relevant to youth today, key ideas that led to the War of Independence, tips on helping kids use the Internet productively and safely, and resources for additional background information.
We've developed lots of different kinds of activities to help children learn more about the themes of Liberty's Kids and have fun while they are doing it. This section contains suggestions for how you can guide those activities to challenge youngsters to think more deeply.
We've provided scripts for four short plays that kids can present. Each play explores an event related to the Revolution from the perspective of people whose voices are not often heard, including slaves & freed men, Native Americans, women, and a poor immigrant.
